Know how to knit but not confident in reading knitting patterns? During this 4 session workshop over several months, Sarah will take you through knitting your own garment step by step. Choose from a simple cardigan or three-quarter length jumper from the “10 more simple cosy projects” by Sarah Hatton. The class will run over 4 evening sessions from February till June, giving you plenty of time to work on your garment in between sessions.
Wednesday 26th February 6.30-8.30pm Starting a garment - tension square, casting on, ribs and stocking stitch, seams.
Thursday 27th March 6.30-8.3pm Shaping - different ways of increasing and decreasing, neck,shoulder and sleeve shaping.
Thursday 24th April 6.30-8.30pm Picking up stitches, button holes and pockets
Thursday 5th June 6.30-8.30pm Finishing the garment - blocking, pressing and sewing together.
