This workshop is designed to provide knitters who want to attempt using colours to enhance their work. Using a small cushion design to provide an introduction to Fair Isle, where strands of colour are woven across the reverse of the fabric and Intarsia where “blocks” of colour or motifs are created. Reading charts, joining in new colours, the two-handed technique for Fair Isle incorporating the weaving in of yarns and Swiss embroidery all combine to give a good knowledge of these well known styles of knitting with a professional finish.
