Seventies Chic, designed by Sarah Hatton. Drawing from the 1970s influence as seen on the catwalks, this is a collection of trans-seasonal designs, great for layering to take you from summer to winter.
Studio 27 is a fun and fresh collection designed by Amanda Crawford. 'Spring retro' look reflects the current trend for 1950's inspired fashion. Knitted in our ever popular Wool Cotton, this summery collection also introduces the new Wool Cotton 4 Ply.
Inspired by the 1960's 'Mod' look, this collection features strong graphic patterns and bold stripes. The designs predominantly feature our Rowan Kid Classic yarn with the addition of Kidsilk Haze to some designs to emphasize the trend for thick and thin textures.
Crochet has been on trend for the last few seasons and it looks to remain very popular for winter 2012 and into spring 2013. Many of the influential designers have included crochet in their catwalk shows, helping to dispel the once ‘dowdy’ image of crochet and making it ‘chic’ and a must have item to wear. The Christopher Kane collection in particular received much acclaim, reviving the use of the traditional ‘granny square’. Looks can vary from the fitted, high round neck sweater to the grunge inspired loose structured knit.
Folk influences were to be found for both adult and child's wear this season and Rowan Studio 30 offers a capsule wardrobe of knits for every little fashionista! From a cosy 'grandad' cardigan for boys to a pretty cape for girls. Hopefully this collection will have everyone wishing they were young again.
