Create your own bunny ears hat - as (almost) seen on SJP's daughter

Create your own bunny ears hat - as (almost) seen on SJP's daughter

Most children jump at the chance to dress up and Easter gives them just one more opportunity to get into character.

It seems that kids of the stars are equally keen to try on costumes, if recent pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker's daughter Tabitha are anything to go by.

She was snapped recently on her way to school in New York City sporting a pink woolly hat complete with bunny ears.

It is unclear whether it was her or her mother's idea, but she certainly seemed happy enough to be wearing headgear. After all, the wind in the Big Apple can be quite vicious and wool is one of the best insulators against the cold.

Her mother often appears on Best-dressed lists and is a favourite among the fashion's elite, so she no doubt had some say in her daughter's outfit, which also comprised of a leopard print coat and a pink spotty dress.

Both her twins were wearing leggings that clashed with the rest of their outfits, so they were either copying each other getting dressed, or their mum had a hand in their eclectic ensemble.

If you want to make like an A-lister and knit your little one or grandchild something for Easter, then why not check out our rabbit beanie?

You could do it in a pink yarn if you really wanted to emulate SJP and her daughter. Don't worry if you not an accomplished knitter either, as this has been designed with the beginner in mind.

Even though the pattern is easy to follow, the end result is a really stunning beanie with cute bunny ears that forms part of our 2014 Easter Collection.

It is designed by Andrea McHugh and has been created using Fine Boucle by British wool.

The hat is suitable for young babies and children, so if you are feeling adventurous you could make two and give them to siblings, that way you also avoid the 'I want what she/he's got' argument and everyone's happy!
