Dee Hardwicke's Design Intarsia workshop

Dee Hardwicke's Design Intarsia workshop

Dee Hardwicke's latest 'Design Intarsia' Rowan workshop at the magnificent department store Liberty, London was a huge success this last weekend.

Dee is a ceramic artist who takes inspiration from the natural world. Using her designs and in collaboration with Rowan Yarns, she has created "Little Colour Knits".

During the workshop, participants were guided through the working of a small intarsia square featuring either the tulip, spring or seedling motif as used in Dee's Little Colour Knits.  Participants were then shown how to develop an intarsia chart that can be used in their own projects, leaving the workshop with a working knowledge of the intarsia technique and inspiration to create their own colour charts.

Talking about the success of the workshop Dee said; "What an amazing day! The workshop went really well. Trudy who looks after the Rowan area in Liberty was great.  Participants learned how to design, render, chart and knit their own intarsia square.  From parting farewells, participants went home inspired!"
