Knitters in Enfield, London are using their nimble-fingered skills to help with a nationwide scheme in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The charity is calling on people across the country to gather their yarns and knitting needles and knit some cosy leg warmers for people with the disorder.
But this isn't all the group is looking to do, North London Today reports, as once people with the condition have their leg warmers, they are being encouraged to bounce on a trampoline.
This allows them to keep fit and healthy, while having great fun at the same time.
With over 9,300 people in the UK suffering with cystic fibrosis, a condition which affects the lungs and digestive system, the active benefits of trampolining are being advertised as a top exercise.
The leg warmers are integral to this as they are made of man-made fibres and don't create too much static, but they help to keep people's ankles snug while they're bouncing.
Speaking to the newspaper, Sue Piper, the trust's senior fundraising manager, said: "We know that families with children who have cystic fibrosis often use trampolines as a fun way to help them do their daily physio and we're delighted to be part of this wacky challenge to the nation's knitters."
There are some patterns available to people looking to get involved with this fun campaign, but alternatively why not check out this Wiggle Scarf and Leg Warmer pattern from Knit Rowan?
With wavy wiggles, this knitted scarf and leg warmer set produces a quirky optical illusion of movement, and thanks to designers Kaffe Fasset and Brandon Mably, these colourful garments are sure to stand out from the crowd.
To help out with this worthy cause, all leg warmers should be sent to the charity by July 30th, so there's plenty of time to get knitting!
