Rowan Design Competition 2013

Rowan Design Competition 2013

Launching 1st July until 1st October 11.59pm GMT.

Brief - Design a garment or accessory using Rowan yarns inspired by the look and feel of the Great Gatsby film.

See yourself as a Rowan designer? Why not enter the Rowan Design Competition 2013 to be in with the chance to have your design featured on our website and in our enewsletter, and to win the yarn to knit the garment of your choice from our brand new Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 54. And if that’s not enough, throw in a one year membership of Rowan Subscription!

This year, we have taken inspiration from the glamour and glitz of the new Great Gatsby film from Baz Luhrmann. The brief is simple; design a fabulous knit or crochet garment or accessory piece, which encapsulates all of the style, fashion and feeling of the film, to be a winner.

If you need inspiration, check out the August issue of the Row@n enewsletter for Rowan Designer Lisa Richardson’s take on the brief, or why not visit the information pages on our website to research suitable yarn choices.

To enter, simply send in your sketch or photograph of your design either by email to with the subject header Design Competition 2013, or by post to the address below:
