Wonder if someone can help as there can be 2 ways of reading one part of the instructions
To quote the pattern :
....these 12 rows form the pattern. Cont in patt, shaping side seams by dec 1 st at each end of 2nd and foll 8th row, then on 2 foll 6th rows

Does this mean
(a) Disregard the numbered rows of the pattern - and Dec 1 st at each end of 2nd and then the 10th row (2 + 8) of the 12 row pattern followed by dec in the following next 6th rows. Total rows worked would therefore equal 2+8+6+6=22
or
(b) Dec 1 st at each end of the 2nd row then pattern the remaining 10 rows of pattern without decreasing, then dec in row 8 of the next 12 pattern rows followed by row 6 in the next two 12 pattern blocks. Total rows worked would therefore equal 4 pattern blocks of 12 = 48

Hope this doesn't sound too muddled. But basically I'm asking does the mention of numbered rows mean the number in terms of the pattern [rows 1 -12] or numbered rows just running consecutively
