Our Clubs Explained
After reviewing your needs we realised that there are three specific ways in which you like to utilise Rowan:
Online - using our KnitRowan website
Through your letterbox
- subscription to our biannual magazines and newsletters.
Both of the above - for those ultimate Rowan fans.

In order to meet your needs we have replaced Rowan International with two clubs, which offer our members great experiences. You can join either club, or both if you wish.
Row@n - our free online members club enabling you to be part of an online knitting community.
Rowan Subscription - gives you access to our biannual Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazines, printed newsletters and many more loyalty rewards.
Row@nPlus - is your online membership if you decide to take out Row@n and Rowan Subscription.

Rowan Subscription
If you don’t use the internet or you simply want to continue to receive our biannual magazines, Rowan Subscription is the club for you. You will receive the following great benefits of becoming a member:

• 2 x Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazines delivered to your door
• 2 x Rowan Subscription Newsletters, mailed with the magazines
• Members exclusive pattern collection, mailed with the magazines

• Manage your account online
• Purchase back issues of our magazines at any point during your membership

Row@nPlus
If you don’t use our website, that’s ok. We recognise that not everyone is online, but if you do use our website we will explain what’s on offer to Rowan Subscribers and what is Row@nPlus.
When you take out Rowan Subscription, we will first check to see if you have a Row@n online account and link them. If you don’t have a Row@n online account we will create one for you – simple. Linking the accounts means they’re easier to manage as you can use the same logon. Row@nPlus is simply your Rowan Subscription account online. As long as you have a live Rowan Subscription membership, your online profile will be upgraded to Row@nPlus. Now when you log in to the website, you have access to everything that comes with the free Row@n membership along with your own Rowan Subscription members area.
As long as you’re a live Rowan Subscriber, you will be able to access:
My Account - where you can manage your account details
Back Issues - where you can purchase previous Rowan Magazines, at any time during your membership.
Subscribe - where you can renew, to ensure you have continuous membership
Coming soon is a feature which indicates that you’re a Row@nPlus member, when you are logged in to the website. This will highlight that you’re the ultimate Rowan fan, and will be shown in Forum posts etc. You will also be able to check when your Row@nPlus (Rowan Subscription) will expire. If you decide not to renew your Rowan Subscription, we won’t cancel your online profile. Your online account will automatically go back to the free Row@n.

Will my Row@n account ever expire?

No, your Row@n account will remain active until you ask us to delete it. As it’s a free club, you don’t need to renew it either.

How long will the current Rowan Subscription package be available?

You will be able to purchase a subscription package 3 months before the magazine release and 3 months after.
Subscription packages will be available as follows:
Autumn/Winter magazine subscription: April - September
Spring/Summer magazine subscription: October – March

What are the free gifts on offer for Rowan Subscription?

You will notice as a new/renewing member that you have several gift options for the latest subscription package. We listened to your feedback and thanks to a new system we can now offer yarns as a free gift!
The gifts will vary due to stock availability. We’re really excited about the new free gifts, and plan to offer you a variety. To view the current free gifts go the the Rowan Subscriptions homepage.

When will I receive my Rowan Subscription free gift and welcome pack?

The aim is to send your free gift, welcome letter and membership card as soon as you subscribe – no waiting for the magazine mailing!

When will I receive my Rowan Subscription magazine?

As a Rowan Subscriber it makes sense that you receive the magazine just before the general public. We do a main mass mailing of the magazines to ensure all current members get their magazines a week before the release date.
The magazines are released to the general public as follows:
Autumn/Winter magazine: 15th July
Spring/Summer magazine subscription: 15th January
Don’t worry it you didn’t renew in time for the main mailing. We plan to do periodic mailings after the main mailing to ensure you get the magazine in a timely manner.

What happens if I subscribe late and I miss the latest subscription package?

If you renew too late and completely miss a subscription package, don’t panic. As soon as a subscription package has finished, the magazine then becomes available to purchase as a back issue – meaning you will never have a gap in your Rowan magazine library. Back issues can be purchased at the time of subscription, or at any point during your membership, and can be purchased online or by phone.

Why do some people receive their Rowan Subscription magazines first?

We aim to send it to you about a week before the official launch date. As Rowan Subscription is a global club we have a mailing strategy which tries to ensure that members all get their magazines at the same time, but because we use 3rd party delivery companies it’s really a bit of guess work too. The plan is to release USA and Australia deliveries 1st, then ROW, then Europe, then finally UK.

I’m nervous about receiving a damaged magazine through Rowan Subscription?

Gone are the days where we sent the magazines out in plastic wrap and Jiffy bags! We know you cherish our magazines, and some fans have the complete library, and so we’ve invested in heavy duty cardboard packaging. Again, we rely on 3rd party delivery companies, so can’t control how they treat our precious cargo! If you receive a badly damaged copy, you must let us know.

How do I subscribe/renew for Rowan Subscription?

Online New/Lapsed Members – You need to log in to Row@n first, or create an online Row@n membership if you haven’t already. Note: you have to use your correct address on your Row@n account – otherwise we won’t know where to send your magazine to! You also only have the option to purchase the subscription package appropriate for the country you have supplied in your address. Once logged in online simply go to Rowan Subscriptions, and select Subscribe.
Online Live Rowan Subscription/Row@nPlus Members
– Your renewal is probably the easiest. You can renew as soon as the correct membership package is available. Simply log in to your online Row@nPlus account, go the Rowan Subscriptions, and select Subscribe from your members menu.
