Finesse is one of the most directional looks for next winter’s dressing. The collection is inspired by retro influences drawn from the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, the era just before designers like Mary Quant changed the face of fashion. ‘Finesse’ is a mood that heralds a return to feminine curves with emphasis on a rounded hip line and narrow waist. Post impressionist art influences the colour palette with delicate shades of pistachio and saffron mixed with rose pinks being the key shades with clay, mushroom and winter white providing the important neutrals. Classically understated, the knits in the ‘Finesse’ collection are sleek and lean, softly following the body contours. Details are discreet or hidden with neat single collars, tiny metallic buttons and ribbon add the perfect feminine touches. Stitches are simple with lots of plain neat-fit knits with tiny vintage stitches, fairisle and fine lace adding the exquisite textures.
