Rowan Yarns' design team will be at Vogue Knitting Live New York in
January and would like to hold a designer call out! If you feel as a
knitwear designer you have something to offer Rowan, this is your
opportunity to come and meet us with your portfolio of work and ideas.
We would like to invite you to join us for our very special celebrations as part of our 60th Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine. On Monday, August 15th, we will be hosting a memorable and historic day with celebrated designer Kaffe Fassett at the beautiful Gardens of the Rose, Hertfordshire.
Share a picture of your finished project or your work in progress to be entered into our competition to win a yarn hamper worth £100! Simply email your picture to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and Martin Storey will select a winner.
We wanted to get in touch regarding some changes that we will be making to the Rowan range for Autumn Winter 2016. You may have heard some scraps of information alongside some rumours, so we wanted to bring you the official, latest news straight from the Rowan team.
Thursday 28th January sees the start of the Knit Along 2016, with the first square – the Moss Heart Square – being released for you to download for free. Each square will be released every fortnight and there will be eight squares in total and a garter stitch trim. Martin Storey has recorded an introduction video to the Knit Along, which you can view here. Don’t miss the shopping list if you haven’t ordered the yarn for your blanket yet! (For stage seven, if you choose to do the beaded option, you will also need to purchase 180 size 6 Debbie Abrahams beads of your colour choice.) We’d love to hear your progress on our Facebook and Ravelry pages, so please check in and tell us how you are doing.
The 28th January 2016 will bring a brand new, fabulous Pure Wool
Superwash Worsted blanket knit along, with squares being released each
fortnight to culminate in a stunning design made up of 48 squares in
total. The knit along presents itself as the natural next stage to
Martin’s first knit along, although you do not have to had participated
in that one to join in this January’s fun.
To celebrate the new characters coming to Mossy Bottom Farm; three mischievous llamas, we have teamed up with Shaun the Sheep to create another “baa-rilliant” winter woolly competition with some Shaun the Sheep and Rowan goodies to be won.
