Often with hand knitted garments it can be the finishing off that can let you down. On this workshop Carol will show you how to get that professional look to your knitted garments. She will work through sewing up a small basic garment. You will learn about blocking & pressing, sewing pieces together using mattress stitch, picking up stitches on a neck band.

Tunisian crochet is a form of crochet that is similar to both crochet and knitting; it almost borrows bits from both worlds! The Wrist Strap Purse project we will be working on for this workshop is designed to take you through the basic Tunisian Crochet stitches and give you a taste of the possibilities.

Learn the basic techniques of Fair Isle by making a fun folk inspired patch bag. Get confident working at 2 colours at the same time across a row and see the benefits of reading from a graph. The handle and side seem detail are made from a mock crochet chain technique. You will add some beads at the bottom for that extra finishing touch.

Knitting socks is easy when you know how! Learn about the anatomy of a sock during our introduction to sock knitting workshop. Katherine will teach you all the techniques required for knitting a pair of socks in the round. The heel method used will be a heel flap and short-row shaping
